DMSC 611 PRINCIPLES OF TEACHING AND LEARNING FOR THE HEALTH PROFESSIONS EDUCATOR
With a special focus on PA educators, this course will prepare future faculty to teach effectively in a health professions program by explaining the roles of an academic faculty member, introducing, exploring, and analyzing adult learning theories. Learners will apply backward design principles to create materials for a themed curriculum suitable for integration in a health professions program. Students will also learn and apply principles of inclusive pedagogy and learner-centered teaching.
