MSPA 522 Clinical Correlations
3 credit hours, 45 hours of lecture-based and hands-on simulated patient case-based learning. This hands-on immersive and small group practicum series is designed to integrate the elements of patient evaluation to sound clinical reasoning. Students will use clinical and technical skills learned over the course of their didactic year to properly diagnose, manage and treat patients during simulated, real-life scenarios using patient actors and high-fidelity manikins. Based on national guidelines and telehealth competencies, this course will also introduce students to the fundamentals of telemedicine and telehealth for health professionals. Students will earn the American Heart Association’s CORE Concepts in Telehealth Certificate.
