MSPA 510 CLINICAL DIAGNOSTIC STUDIES
3 credit hours, 45 hours of lecture-based learning. This course is designed to provide the physician assistant student with introductory didactic instruction on clinical laboratory tests and studies. Familiarization with these diagnostic tests and studies will be used to augment critical thinking in the development of a patient’s differential diagnoses. Complementary to courses
MSPA 465 and
MSPA 470, students will clinically apply their knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to a patient’s history and physical examination results to select, utilize and interpret the most appropriate laboratory tests studies to help derive the patient’s most likely diagnosis.
