PTRS 721 Hypothesis Development & Study Design
This advanced graduate course teaches students to systematically develop research hypotheses and specific aims for doctoral dissertation research in rehabilitation science. Students learn to identify knowledge gaps in the literature, and use the knowledge to formulate testable hypotheses grounded in theory, and construct rigorous specific aims. The course covers essential elements of research design, including methodology selection and outcome measures. Through lectures and seminar-based discussions and critical analysis exercises, students will practice developing the foundational skills needed for dissertation research.

Must be PTRS PHD major
